The Process

The Measure
We like to come to your home and measure the kitchen ourselves before we do anything else. Not only does this gives me an accurate size but also allows me to get an understanding of how the layout should be when the job goes to fabrication.

Other things we like to see are the cabinets capable of supporting the granite, what are the structural obstacles that could effect the installation, and what type of style an individual customer has in their home. By having a feel for these things we can better assist you during the selection process.

The Bid
Once we have gathered the base information we will submit a proposal for the work. Unless a customer has a selection in advance we will give you a range based on high to low end. You may inform us that you prefer to stay within a certain range which allows us to better serve you during the selection process. Once we have agreed to do the work we then move to stone selection.

Picking your stone
I take my customers to our suppliers so they can pick out the slabs that will be used for their project. This eliminates issues by allowing me to discuss Layout, potential problems and features of the individual slabs. I will not sell off of a sample unless the customer gives me the authorization to choose the granite.

Picking the features
At this point we will discuss edge, sink style, faucets and any changes you would like made before the final template is created.

Template for fabrication
With all the information in hand we can take a template or final measurement for your job. We will discuss seams, stone limitations and finalize the details of the job for exact pricing and collect a 50% deposit. We always attempt to leave your kitchen intact until the day of the installation.

Fabrication
This process generally takes 2 days depending on work flow and our schedule. This is the time we will inform you of an install date if one has not been set prior to fabrication

Install
We will arrive between 9:00 and 10:00 am on the day of installation. We will remove the current top and begin to install you new granite counters. This process generally takes about 4 hours to complete the average kitchen.

Final inspection
We will inspect the job with the customer to ensure complete satisfaction before accepting final payment. Any issues will be addressed at that time or the homeowner will be informed of when/how the issue will be addressed.
